Welcome to the website of The Wooden House School.

The school has a long and happy history and continues to maintain the high standards of care and education that it has always had a reputation for.

The school buildings are set in a very rural area, surrounded by trees and lawns and we take full advantage of this to expand the children's experience of nature and the outdoor life in a safe and controlled manner.

Our staff are highly trained and each bring their own personality to the classroom. As the children move through the school, they thus benefit from many different outlooks and classroom environments.

We continually strive to expand our facilities to keep apace with the developments that the children experience in the world around them. To this end, all of our classrooms have a computer available for the children to use under supervision.

While technology is present in the classrooms, the school does not use television as a means of entertainment for the children, but prefers more interactive and personal activities, such as story-time and role play.

There is an active and very supportive parent's committee who arrange a variety of social and fund-raising events. This is completely voluntary and is a lot of fun!
